Margot James welcomes the establishment of a new careers and enterprise company for schools that will help prepare young people for the world of work. She calls for the new company to tackle the outdated images of industries such as manufacturing and construction, which put so many young people off but are vital and growing sectors of the UK economy.

Speaking in a Parliamentary debate about the resettlement of vulnerable Syria refugees, Margot James asks the Immigration Minister what is being done to encourage more local authorities to sign up to the vulnerable persons relocation scheme.

Speaking in the debate following the Chancellor’s Autumn Statement, Margot James welcomes falling unemployment, higher average pay and new shops opening in Stourbridge.

Stourbridge MP, Margot James, is using local landmarks and icons as part of her festive greetings this year. The card, designed by student Aaron-Ryan Samra, features signage and buildings from around the town as decorations on a Christmas tree, complete with presents underneath. The design was chosen by Margot through her annual competition for local students, which challenges them to come up with artwork linked to Stourbridge in some way.
