Margot James has expressed her support for the Tesco National Food Collection.

The collection will take place in every Tesco store across the country including the express stores. Tesco will then top up the value of all customer donations by a further 30%. Last year this scheme, rolled out across 850 stores nationwide, amounted to 2.4 million meals for those in need.

FareShare is now redistributing food to around 43,000 people every day through 910 charities based across the country. Stores will be taking collections until the 6th July.

Margot said: “I’m delighted to support the Tesco Food Collection in Stourbridge. This is an excellent initiative that will provide important supplies to food banks both locally and nationally. It is great to see this being rolled out in every store, and I would encourage people to support this cause if they are able to”.
