Margot hosts day trip for Age Concern
31st August 2009
A party of fourteen volunteers and clients of Stourbridge Age Concern set off from Mary Stevens for a day trip to the Cotswolds organised by Margot James. Ron drove the group for an hour to Broadway where they were met by Margot for coffee in the historic Lygon Arms Hotel.
The rain just about held off as the group visited shops and walked around the village before being taken for lunch at Margot’s cottage just outside the village. Chairman of Age Concern Ron Dalton and President Derek Elton were among the party that included manager Dionne Legge, Jean and Betty who work tirelessly for the organisation throughout the year, and Barbara Glover who inspires many of Stourbridge’s over sixties to take up painting in their retirement.
