Charities boost from new Mayor of Dudley
21st May 2010
Margot attended the annual meeting of Dudley Council last night and welcomed the new Mayor Cllr. Peter Miller (pictured here with the Mayoress Hilary Miller). Margot said “It was a wonderful occasion and I wish our new mayor a very successful year, he is an excellent choice for our first citizen, I would also like to express my thanks to our outgoing mayor Cllr Pat Martin and her consort Bill Martin for a fantastic mayoral year ending yesterday”
Margot pledged her support for the three charities selected by the new Mayor for the next twelve months. They are Acorns, the children’s hospice charity, the Pocklington Trust for people with visual impairment and the Alzheimer’s Society. Margot is visiting the Pocklington Trust today to give an interview to the Black Country Talking Newspaper and Magazine.
